MAT KILAU - KEBANGKITAN PAHLAWAN Breaks Record As Highest Grossing With Collecting 23 Million In 7 Days

It's been 7 days since the premiere of the 'Mat Kilau - Kebangkitan Pahlawan' released nationwide in cinemas on the 23rd of June. And within 7 days, the film hits Box-Office and managed to reach a collection of 23 Million in total!! 

An absolutely incredible achievement for our local Malay film. Congratulation to Studio Kembara, Director Syamsul Yusof and all casts and crews that had made this magnificent biopic film of this millennium.

MAT KILAU - An Epic Biography film that presents the important history of the Malay struggle during the British Colonization and Defending The Sovereignty of the Land of Pahang.

I have always loved and delved into Malaya History since High School and it always fascinates me how courageous and strong were the Malay warriors against the invaders. And this movie surely did touch my heart. 

This latest work was published by Studio Kembara, which was also directed by the prestigious young director, Syamsul Yusof presenting an important history in the epic biographical film, Mat Kilau.

The screening of the film Mat Kilau - Kebangkitan Pahlawan started last Thursday, 23 June 2022 and Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Mt Dali as the Managing Director and Producer of Studio Kembara expressed millions of thanks and gratitude for the response given to this film produced by Studio Kembara.

Studio Kembara is very grateful and touched by the positive and encouraging responses received from various groups including the media and invited guests who have attended the Mat Kilau Kebangkitan Pahlawan premiere screening. Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Mt Dali concluded. 

According to him, after working hard for a long time to produce a film that develops the love of this country, it has been accepted so well. Even the presence of the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad at the premiere of the film also showed that the work of local youths received attention from various parties.

I would like to express my special thanks to Finas for supporting and helping to make this film project a success from the beginning to the end. The presence of the Chairman of Finas, YB Senator Datuk Seri Hajah Zurainah bt. Musa and Chief Executive Officer of Finas, YBRS Professor Dr. Md Nasir Ibrahim to the premiere of this film continues to prove the commitment of Finas to help develop the country's film industry, "said Rahman

 

Studio Kembara would also like to give appreciations for the warm response received to the film Mat Kilau- Kebangkitan Pahlawan and would also like to thank the millions of spectators who came to flood cinemas throughout the country and in Singapore and Brunei. 

We are touched by this very encouraging response, said Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Mt Dali .

For him, the first day ticket sales collection record which is considered to be the highest record in Malaysi,  gives a very meaningful purpose to the entire production and workforce of Studio Kembara and even for the industry in general. This, among others, gives the message that the audience has been waiting for a film like this for a long time and proves that they really support producers who released such a film.

"I got news that there are viewers who have not entered or visited the cinema for more than 50 years but are called to watch this film which is packed with more entertaining and momentous messages," Rahman added.

 

Rahman described this as quite a phenomenal situation and was overwhelmed by the response given by all Malaysians to the film, not only in terms of supporting the purchase of tickets at the cinema but also present in traditional attire and blazing ready to watch the film, which was directed by Syamsul Yusof.

“Mat Kilau - Kebangkitan Pahlawan film is worth watching because with an investment of only around RM20, viewers can be entertained while getting the essence of various basic understanding topics related to Islam and nationhood, love of homeland, fiqh in defending the homeland, brotherhood, trust, loyalty to the country and loyalty to friendship . Even the issue of defection and betrayal from the perspective of Islam and leadership is brought up in this film, ”he said, describing that with only two hours of viewing, all this can be understood.

 

The film also presents a message of sacrifice, courage, confidence, perseverance as well as self -potential. In fact, it is also a call for unity and forbids division.
